1 cup finely chopped sweet onion 2 tablespoons butter 30 ounces shredded frozen hash browns that have been thawed 2 cups shredded swiss cheese salt pepper 2 eggs 1 cup milk
In small skillet saute onion in butter until it is tender - in a large bowl mix the hash browns, cheese, salt and pepper then add the sautéed onions.
Pour this into a greased 13x9 inch pan, whisk together the milk and eggs and pour over the potato mixture.
Bake uncovered at 5350 for 35-40 minutes, let stand for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
