6 medium potatoes 4 ounces diced bacon 1 medium chopped onion 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic 2 tablespoons flour 1 teaspoon celery salt pepper to taste 4 cups milk 1 1/2 cups cream
Dice the potatoes, and cook until tender. Set aside. Brown the bacon in a large soup pot, add the onions and cook until they are soft. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute longer.
Sprinkle the four on top of onion mixture and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the remaining ingredients, including the potatoes.
Simmer until thick.

Add diced potatoes to the pot along with chicken broth, milk, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and ancho chili powder. Stir well. Bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork (about 10 minutes).
