2 to 3 Lbs. pork roast, preferably loin
Marinade: 1/2 teaspoon five spice seasoning 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 tablespoon mirin (rice cooking wine) 1/4 tablespoon fresh ginger root, grated 1 clove garlic 1 tablespoon ketchup 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
Combine marinade ingredients with pork and marinate for 2-3 hours. Place marinated pork on rack over a baking pan, lining the pan with foil will make the pan easier to clean. Roast at 450 dergrees for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 350 degrees roast 45 minutes or until done. Brush on sauce during roasting. Cool and slice into 1/8 thick pieces. Serve with hot Chinese style mustard, Ketchup and toasted sesame seeds.
