1 cup shortening 1 cup butter 2 cups sugar 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar 4 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla 4 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 2 teaspoons baking soda 2 cups regular oats uncooked 2 cups corn flakes 1 cup chopped pecans 1 cup shredded coconut 12 ounce package semisweet chocolate morsels
Cream shortening and butter. Gradually add sugars beating well until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Combine flour, baking powder and soda, add to creamed mixture mixing well. Add oats and remaining ingredients one at a time stirring well after each addition. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
